She appropriates, composes, arranges, and distils these different styles to offer us a version full of surprises and sensitivity. Rocked from an early age by funk sounds, oriental chaloups and rock rhythms, Keltoum remembers: “At home there wasn’t a day without music, song or dance! She chose to present Keltoum… simply Keltoum as an echo of the great Umm Kalthoum, an oriental diva. She offers us a fabulous journey into her intimacy with modesty, humility and offers us to share her dream… She invites us to discover her compositions through her new musical project, developed with the Kiwi Records studio. Five tracks, that’s all it takes in Keltoum to make his first eponymous EP a sublime object of desire.
