Busty and the Bass

A North American (mostly Canadian) band created in Montreal, Quebec, founded originally by 9 members, but currently just conformed by 8 of them: Nick Ferraro (vocals, alto sax), Alistair Blu (vocals, keyboards, synths), Scott Bevins (trumpets), Chris Vincent (trombone), Louis Stein (guitar), Milo Johnson (bass), Eric Haynes (keyboards) and Julian Trivers (drums), each member from different parts of North American, between Canada and United States (with dual citizens).

The history of this band started when all the members met while attending at McGill University studying music careers, they played together at one of the member’s house, and there is when the magic occurred and they decided to establish themselves as a band. At the beginning they played instrumental pieces and covers, meanwhile tried to define a lead vocalist.

Year 2014 was a significant one for the band when they won CBC and TD Bank’s Rock Your Campus competition, which were the first step before setting out to an extensive tour across Canada, USA and Europe. Their first record “GLAM” was released in 2015, with a total of 8 tracks, opening the band’s long path in the music industry.

In 2016 an EP “Lift” saw the public light, including 6 tracks, and preceding the release of their first studio album “Uncommon Good” (2017), which counts with 10 titles, and represents the sound of Busty and the Bass: a unique music style that can’t be defined by just one genre, because it combines many of them in a brilliant and atypical mix.

Their most recent singles “Summer” and “Baggy Eyed Dopeman” feat George Clinton are available now for us to enjoy.

With their originality and impressive level of lyrical content, they have proved their position of not being pigeonholed in a single ambient, using elements of electro-soul, jazz, R&B, hip hop, funk, dance and many more, to mix them in a colorful, melodic, contrasting and rhythmic music cocktail that wraps up their fans and public.
