Arcade Fire

From the Montreal scene, Arcade Fire was formed in the summer of 2003. Their first eponymous album (2003) reveals the eclectic mix of bossa nova, punk and more classical songs of the band, whose influences range from U2 to David Bowie , but it was only with Funeral, in 2004, that the group was successful. The album received unanimous acclaim, both commercially and critically, for the group to embark on a very long world tour, to cover the Canadian edition of Time magazine and to be nominated for the Grammy Awards. Neon Bible released in March 2007; they have summoned important ornaments, such as large organ, a military chorus and a complete orchestra. by Andrew Leahey & MacKenzie Wilson
